VUE Audiotechnik has announced the appointment of veteran sound engineer and production expert, Shawn London, to the position of touring sound sales manager. London’s responsibilities in his new role will be two-fold – broaden VUE’s sound company partner network, while also expanding relationships with FOH and system engineers. As VUE’s touring market ambassador, he will drive market demand by presenting the performance and benefits VUE systems.
“Interest in al-Class line arrays has increased exponentially as exposure through artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Third Eye Blind and Pharrell Williams brings our capabilities into a global spotlight,” says VUE CEO Ken Berger. “In fact, VUE is the only new pro audio brand to break into the national pro touring market in the past decade. I’m thrilled to welcome Shawn to VUE and am confident that our customers around the globe will feel his presence immediately.”
Prior to joining VUE, London was live sound and touring business development manager for Allen & Heath, as well as house audio engineer at the El Ray, Fonda Roxy and Fox Theaters in Los Angeles. His pro audio pedigree includes twenty years of engineering and production experience in both studio and live environments. Shawn has experience with some of the most notable festivals including Lollapalooza, Coachella and the Warped Tour, and has performed front of house and monitor duties for Eagles of Death Metal, Neon Trees, CrystalMethod, and Jane’s Addiction.
“I always jump at the chance of touring through Canada, and have had the privilege of doing so at least once a year since my very first visit in 1992 on The Rage Against the Machine tour,” London tells Professional Sound about his excitement to work with VUE’s Canadian users. “So, you can imagine how excited I am to have responsibility for growing VUE’s footprint in Canada — the market is key to our continued growth strategy.”
Shawn and the rest of the VUE Crew will be exhibiting at InfoComm 2018 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show dates are June 6th through the 8th, and they will be located at Booth C418 in the Central Hall.
