SynAudCon's 3-Day "Sound Reinforcement for Technicians" Seminar Coming to Toronto in April

Synergetic Audio Concepts (SynAudCon) is bringing it “Sound Reinforcement for Technicians” 3-day multi-media seminar to Toronto from April 8-10, 2013. As the company says, it’s relatively easy to interconnect a chain of audio components to produce sound. But what if it doesn’t sound right?

The seminar’s “hands-on” exercises  that will answers questions like;

–  Why is it noisy?

–  How do you remove that hum or buzz?

–  Is the gain structure correct?

–  Is the crossover right?

– Will equalization make it better, or just different?

Each workstation will include an iPod Touch controlling an audio instrumentation interface. Via SynAudCon’s signal distribution system, each attendee will be able to measure voltage, impedance, polarity, SPL, and STIPA with the instrument. They will also learn what these measurements mean, and how to use them to ensure that the system is performing optimally.
