Join #RedAlertRESTART on Sept. 1st to Support Live Events Industry

The #WeMakeEvents movement is coming to North America on Sept. 1st with #RedAlertRESTART, inviting venues across the continent to light their exteriors red. The campaign implores North American lawmakers to provide economic relief as quickly as possible to the live events industry, which has been at a standstill since March 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to be one of the last to recover.

Based on the #WeMakeEvents #RedAlert initiative, which saw hundreds of venues throughout the U.K. turn their lights red on Aug. 11 to raise awareness of the severity of the live event sector's hardships, #RedAlertRESTART will take place on Sept. 1st from 9 pm-12 am local time in cities across North America.

The list of participating cities includes Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, along with dozens of major centres throughout the U.S.
