Metalworks Institute has introduced three new undergraduate programs: Event Planning & Management, Live Sound, and Stage Lighting & Video. Another addition is the college’s first post-graduate program – Music Mixing & Mastering.
“We’re most excited about launching the Music Mixing & Mastering Program because it’s the first of its kind,” says Craig Titus, Metalworks’ Director of Academics. “We’re the only school to offer this type of specialization and it represents another significant way that we can pass on the knowledge and experience from the studio’s success to the next generation of audio engineers.”
While the new undergraduate programs are all quite different from one another, each of them prepares students for a career in one aspect of the dynamic and expanding live events industry. Students will have the opportunity to network and gain hands-on experience in these fields thanks to the school’s exclusive partnership with Metalworks Production Group.
“These intensive 30-week programs are strategically timed so that students graduate during the peak hiring seasons for live events, that way they have the opportunity to go straight from school to work,” adds Titus.
The curriculum at Metalworks Institute builds on knowledge developed by the world-renowned Metalworks Studios and Metalworks Production Group, United; the three Metalworks companies provide students with access to state-of-the-art technology and instructors at the forefront of their fields.
