L-Acoustics has appointed Josh Maichele and Jesse Stevens to serve as the manufacturer’s newest North American regional applications engineers. The announcement comes from L-Acoustics, Inc. CEO Laurent Vaissie.

Serving both the install and rental markets, Maichele and Stevens are responsible for providing active technical support and expertise for L-Acoustics’ Certified Providers, end users and designers in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the U.S. and Canada, respectively. The two new hires will work closely with regional sales managers Paul Tillman and Scott Pizzo and report to both Scott Sugden and André Pichette, respective heads of applications for touring and install markets.

Based in New York, Jesse Stevens comes to L-Acoustics with 15 years of experience as a sound designer, engineer, and mixer for Broadway musicals, national tours and large-scale special events. He was a member of the sound design team for the Broadway productions of Rock of Ages, Motown the Musical, and After Midnight, all of which were nominated for a Tony Award for Outstanding Sound Design. Additionally, he’s spent time with Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo Las Vegas, the Radio City Spring Spectacular, and Waitress on Broadway.

Based in Michigan, Josh Maichele has 20 years of experience mixing and designing sound systems, lending his expertise to sound installations at the Bicentennial Arena in Salina, Kansas and the Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill chain of venue/restaurants, as well as many high-profile house of worship projects throughout the Midwest.

“L-Acoustics continues to grow its presence and invest into outstanding commercial and technical support for the North American market, and these two key appointments will allow us to nurture the relationship with our clients, providing local support and expertise, as well as explore new exciting applications for L-Acoustics and L-ISA,” says Vaissie. “In addition to broad regional support, Josh and Jesse also bring tremendous credibility for two key vertical markets: Jesse’s intimate knowledge of Broadway will strengthen our commitment and expansion into this demanding field, while Josh’s expertise in houses of worship will bolster our presence within that fast growing community as well.”
