KV2 Audio is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. In 2002, KV2 began its journey in a small cottage tucked away in the forests of Southern Bohemia near the Czech town of Milevsko. In January of 2003, the ES System was released at the NAMM Show “and the rest as they say is history,” as the company says.

Now housed in a 9,000 sq. metre state-of-the-art, custom built factory in Milevsko, KV2 now manufacture everything in-house except transducers, which are still brought from Italy. It is a far cry from the initial beginnings, when everything was sourced from third party manufacturers.

“We have never compromised our design principles to follow market trends,” says KV2 Founder and Chief Engineer, George Krampera Sr.

George may have been seen as a rebel for many years as he bucked the industry trends in digital technology and line array systems, but he says he’s been vindicated with KV2 being specified into more and more high end installations. “For KV2 it is only about one thing, the sound,” he adds.
