CITT Rendez-vous 2017 Full Conference Program Released

RendezVousRendez-vous 2017, CITT’s annual trade show and conference, will be heading to the Imperial Theatre and Saint John Theatre Company in Saint John, NB from Aug. 9-12.

This year’s event will feature a similar schedule to that which was introduced last year. The trade show will have visiting hours over a two-day span on Thursday and Friday. The new Product Show ‘n Tell Breakfast will kick off the Thursday morning and there will be a Corporate Luncheon on the Thursday. Thursday night will feature the always-popular Swag Bingo. The Friday will feature the Ladies of the Backstage Happy Hour and Saturday will be the Caucus Plenary Breakfast and CITT/ICTS Awards Banquet in the evening. The annual general meeting will return to an AGM Luncheon on Saturday.

The conference programming this year includes such topics as: Scenic Historic Techniques –  Painting Masterclass; Major System Renovations in Existing Theatres; Performing Arts Safety Awareness Workshop; and Prolyte Truss Training. Recently announced additions to the conference schedule include Microphone Techniques for Live and Theatrical Sound, Major System Renovations in Existing Theatres, and Staging the Scottish Rite: Masonic Scenery Design.

As well, CITT/ICTS along with the Saint John Theatre Company have arranged with ETC to hold a three-day console training course prior to the conference and tradeshow. This training opportunity will have something to offer console users of all skill levels, from those just starting out to seasoned professionals. These courses will be taught on Ion consoles, however the software lessons will apply to the entire EOS Family of consoles.
