The Bravo Niagara! Festival of the Arts and the Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival have announced Meyer Sound as a Major Sponsor and Official Sound Provider.
“At Meyer Sound we are very pleased to support Bravo Niagara!. It’s an ideal combination, since Bravo Niagara! is one of the leading performing arts organizations in Canada with the Spring Into Music Series, Voices of Freedom Festival, and the Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival, while Meyer Sound strives for excellence in sound reinforcement technology,” says Meyer Sound Co-Founder and Executive VP Helen Meyer. “Bringing the two together means every concert will be a memorable experience for all who attend.”
Meyer Sound systems will be used in all of Bravo Niagara!’s festival venues.
“Bravo Niagara! strives to create extraordinary concert experiences featuring the world’s leading artists. We are thrilled to have Meyer Sound as a Major Sponsor and Official Sound Provider, which will ensure we provide an optimum experience for both artist and audience,” says Bravo Niagara!’s Artistic Director Christine Mori.
The sponsorship is supported by Meyer Sound’s exclusive Canadian Distributor GerrAudio.
“Bravo Niagara!'s world-class performances speak for themselves. Our job is to guide the team that ensures they are heard transparently by every patron, it’s what we do,” says Bob Snelgrove, president of GerrAudio Distribution.
In addition to supporting Bravo Niagara!’s concerts, Meyer Sound will be the Official Sound Provider for the Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival beginning with the second annual festival from Feb. 15-17, 2019. Led by Artistic Director Renee Rosnes, Artistic Producer Kelly Peterson, and Executive Producers Christine Mori and Alexis Spieldenner of Bravo Niagara!, the Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival is the first and only jazz festival bearing the name of Canada’s greatest jazz artist and is dedicated to showcasing the rich history and the future of the music Oscar loved.
Kelly Peterson, Christine Mori, and Alexis Spieldenner recently visited the Meyer Sound campus in Berkeley, California, where they had the opportunity to meet co-founders John and Helen Meyer.
“I was mesmerized by the quality of sound and the passionate pursuit of excellence that was expressed by John and Helen Meyer and obviously shared by all their staff,” says Kelly Peterson, Artistic Producer of the Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival.
“What a thrill it was to meet them, to tour their factory, to experience their exuberance and generosity. I am so very grateful for their sponsorship of the Oscar Peterson International Jazz Festival, knowing that the superb performances of the artists we present will be supported by the best audio systems in the world.”
Bravo Niagara!’s first concert to feature Meyer Sound systems will take place on Aug. 18, 2018 as internationally-acclaimed classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić takes the stage with the Marc Djokic string quintet at the historic St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
