Audio-Technica Shuts Down Its Alteros Subsidiary

Audio-Technica U.S., Inc. has announced that due to corporate strategic decisions, it is closing its subsidiary company, Alteros, effective immediately. This closing consists of discontinuing the manufacturing and development of Alteros products.

"The Alteros team, through the development of their GTX Series wireless system, has brought a unique technology solution to organizations experiencing spectrum difficulties. Audio-Technica U.S., Inc. will take the product line in-house and will provide warranty and support for existing customers," the company said in a statement. "Transferring inventory of product and parts to Audio-Technica U.S., Inc. will enable the fulfillment of existing orders and commitments. The Alteros team will train and equip qualified service and support personnel, allowing continuation of the same high levels of service and care."

The company says it has contacted its customer base, making them aware of this change while working with them for a transition in their workflow.
