Applications Open for the First Ever CMW Hackathon

Canadian Music Week will be hosting its first ever Hackathon, which will run for 24 hours on May 8thand 9th.  With music technology has the focus, the CMW Hackathon  is looking for coders, developers, designers, tech-savvy musicians, and creative minds to build new technologies in the music space using blockchain, AI, AR/VR, and more.

Those interested in taking part are invited to come share their coding and design talents to build prototypes of projects that can offer solutions to streaming, payments, touring, merch, promotion, ticketing and anything else under the music umbrella.

After 24 hours, the organizers will bring in a team of industry judges who will then select the winners and award the prizes.

The host and facilitator is Travis Laurendine, who has run Hackathons for SXSW, Outside Lands, Bonnaroo, The White House, The Super Bowl and others!
